Dr Tom graduated from Sydney University in 2015 and began his career at a busy mixed practice vet hospital here on the Central Coast. There, he gained invaluable experience working alongside top-quality vets in a diverse environment, handling both small and large animals.
After five years, Tom ventured to the Pilbara, where he spent another five years working remotely in one of the most isolated vet clinics on the planet. In this challenging role, located approximately 1,600km from a referral centre, he provided 24/7 veterinary care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, cattle and wildlife. This experience honed his skills in both medicine and surgery. His passion for animal welfare, combined with his surgical skill and dedication to providing thorough care, is the driving force behind Vet On The Road.
Haley brings a unique and valuable skill set to Vet On The Road. Her background as a behavior and engagement teacher and former deputy principal has equipped her with strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills. She also has a degree in human nursing, providing her with a solid foundation of medical knowledge.
When the opportunity arose to start Vet On The Road, Haley saw it as a chance to learn something new and contribute to building a business that reflects their family’s values. She plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the practice, supporting Tom and ensuring that clients receive exceptional service. Her dedication to client care and her passion for animals make her an integral part of the Vet On The Road team.
